One of these business booms has been the discount shopping site where the market leaders Groupon and KGB have been joined by niche schemes offering everything from luxury holidays, expensive watches, designer home wares and ladies sex toys. ‘What?’ I hear you cry, ‘Sex Toys on Groupon’. Actually this is the second time I have encountered such adult products on the shopping discount site. The first was only shown after a suitable  time in the evening (something like 9pm). As a subscriber you were forewarned of the bargain vibrators available and could return to the shopping site to purchase your saucy wares at a greatly reduced rate later in the evening.

Quite clearly Groupon were testing the waters and it would seem the level of complaint was at a minimum as those naughty vibrators returned a week ago in the form of vibrating bullets in a rainbow of colours. This time there was no time restriction with shopping and indeed as I wiped the sleep from my eyes at 6am and reached for the iphone to check emails had to double take the offer. The sex shop looked reasonably low quality and the product wasn’t that much of a good deal considering the online prices of sex toys at the minute but far more interestingly it shows that the discount shopping sites are far game for flogging anything, these guys are certainly just in it for the bucks.
